Water in European Langauges

Water, Wasser, and voda all come from the same original etymology. "Vodka", the clear alcoholic drink that is favored by Eastern and Western Slavs comes from the same original word. It means "little water". South Slavs generally prefer rakija,  (rock kee yah) or plum brandy. It's a lot stronger, and is the probable cause that there are no Alcoholics Anonymous groups in those countries.
